As people travel from their part of the world to another part of work or other needs, they meet people from different races and cultures. The borders between countries are blurring more and more as everyone becomes dependent on the other in more than one way. This is leading to a mixing of cultures.
This has probably brought about a phenomenal increase in the number of interracial marriages in the last three decades. People have started understanding the cultures of each other. Times were when one viewed the people of other races with suspicion. Today we have started appreciating the differences and accept each race’s individualities.
As more and more interracial dating sites increase people are venturing more into such mixed marriages. Many marriage experts opine that such marriages have a lot of advantages. Let’s see what they are.
LEARNING A NEW CULTURE: Interracial marriage help us in learning a new culture and the benefits their practices may offer to our improving our lives.
THINKING NEW: Interracial romance helps in changing our ways of thinking. It helps in viewing everything in a new perspective. It helps in improving both our personal and professional life. It even helps in solving many problems as we see it from a totally new angle.
GENETIC ADVANTAGE: Different races have different genetic make-up. A marriage between two races will help in mixing the best traits of both parents. The children of interracial marriages will have the advantage of positive genes form two different races. This may even prevent a lot of diseases from being carried over.
PARENTING: The first signs of disagreements probably start with the first child. There is always a clash of ideas between the father and mother regarding bringing up the child. As both come from different households and grown under different parenting, they tend to impose that on their child. In a mixed marriage, it is even more so.
As both the partners have already adjusted to living with differences and accepted them, even in parenting this adjustment could benefit. The child will probably get the best of parenting from both races.
ACCEPTING DIFFERENCES: As both partners are already aware of differences, they start adjusting right from the time they start dating. They are also prepared for strong differences with their mates. This preparation helps them continue that adjustment even in their marriage. They are not in for any shocking discoveries after marriage.
We could only wish for more interracial romance to bloom and erase all the differences that are seen between races. As the interracial marriages increase the world will be a more united place than before. As more children from such marriages populate the world, people will become more tolerant to each other.
