I just recently watched Irish Jam and Captive Hearts: The John Mink Story so the subject of interacial couples in movies is kind of fresh on my mind.
I knew nothing about Irish Jam when I started watching it, but was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Eddie Griffin and Anna Friel have great chemistry.
Not sure if they will rank as my all time favorite, but it's a good start.
Another favorite movie is (Loving) it talks about interracial couple whose arrest for interracial marriage in 1960s Virginia began a legal battle that would end with the Surpreme court's historic 1967 decision.
One of my favorite interracial couple movies is a Joyful Noise is a 2012 American musical with Keke Palmer and Jeremy Jordan staring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton.the last movie was Madea Christmas staring Tyler Perry Chad Michael Tika Sumpter Ann Maria. Madea dispenses her unique from of holiday spirit on rural town when she's coaxed into helping a friend pay her daughter a surprise visit the country for Christmas
"Something New"....I absolutely LOVE that movie. Great chemistry...Great acting. Simply a great love story. I like the way the movie takes you through the act of falling in love. It begins with them just hanging out together and a relationship develops.
Sanaa Lathan and Simon Baker are flawless in this film... I wish it had done better at the box office, but you know how closed-minded this world can be. A movie about a black woman falling in love with a white man seemed to have ruffled too many feathers for the movie to do well...but it's still a great film. Curl up a nd watch it with your sweetie..:-)
