That was what I was told by a boy I was dating. He told me that if I didn't agree with what he says I then I shouldn't say anything.

1. It's sad that you can only have a conversation when someone is agreeing with you.

2. He totally forgot all the times I agreed with him or understood his point of view on certain topics.

3. The fact that you can't disagree with someone without being rude, disrespectful, or it becoming an argument is a  statement about your mindset not mines.

4. No one person in the world is going to have your same feeling or belief about EVERYTHING, and when they don't you think they shouldn't talk at all? Lol

5. Relationships are not meant for little boys or little girls who don't know how to be mature when dealing with another person. And the fact that he even had the audacity to tell me that means I need to change my type and the people I give my time to.

6. Beware of signs or red flags that pop up in the beginning. Don't overlook your gut feeling.

6. Shortly after I realized this person wasn't worth my time I moved on.

He sounds like what they call a malignant narcissist. I've had people interested in me who agreed with everything I said; it gets annoying as far as I am concerned because I know they are either insincere, or mold their beliefs to others. I want to date someone who can contribute to my understanding of issues; if I wanted someone to repeat my ideas, I'd get a parrot, not a partner. At the same time, there are limits; I would never date a republican.

If a guy tells you to "shut up," then he doesn't really respect you. You need to drop him like a bad habit.
