This has really been an experience. Not just the interracial dating, but the online dating. I often find myself wondering if I am the only one who feels like this.

I've never had a blog, this could be interesting. Fasten your seatbelts!

Final post.  I agree with others - this site, with its limited options, is dead.  zoosk asks if you date interracially and I already have FIVE men who have expressed interest in me. I have not been registered 24 hours!  Will check back occassionally, but will no longer waste my time.
Good luck everyone.

Ladies and gentlemen I am tired.  Is this thing on?  Is anyone here?  No activity here, no emails?  What gives?
Would love a good success story from someone who stuck it out.

I saw an article here (did not read yet though) questioning whether long distance interracial relationships would work (not a quote). I've been thinking about that, especially with my recent experience. Three states away and every time it was time to visit, something came up. There are not many men in my area, so there is going to be some travel involved for me. I noticed that in some cities there seem to be more men available than in others. After a certain age are we honestly willing to relocate for love?

Sorry to hear things went the way they did. I was hoping that it was going to work out well for you.

It's official. It was a scam. Do your homework ladies - I wish I had.

I think I'm done.

Not quite. I'm confused. We spoke constantly, he talked about marriage, it all seemed so real. Yet everytime it came time for us to spend time together, something came up or he starts an argument and then says its not the right time.

Why do men, especially older men who should know better, act like they want a relationship when all they really want is the experience (sexual)

Definitely discouraged now. I invested a lot in this, and its looking like it was all for nothing.

Well I've actually met someone. Not on this site and not in person (yet) but our conversations online and on phone have been amazing! I've always been somewhat skeptical when reading those "success" stories, but I have to admit, it does happen that way.

I can't wait to see where it goes. . .

Congradulations,, I hope it works out for you !

Not a good day for me. When I log on to websites now, I actually get invitations to join website for "men looking for older women" "men who want to date seniors", Senior Friend Finder? Does wonders for a woman's ego. Is it that big a leap between 45 and 46? I'm attractive, active, and look younger than my age. I'm sure there's an AARP membership somewhere with my name on it, lol.

To top it all off I just ate most of a frozen pizza - two weeks before my cruise! Help!!!!!

Yes, I think its my age. I wonder if for women it would be better if we just listed an age range as opposed to actual age.

That's great. But I think it's different for woman. Men (most) seem to always want a younger woman, regardless of what their profile says. That's ok though, we all have our preferences. Patience will pay off in the end. (I hope, lol)

Do we still believe we can find someone on this site?

Don't get too upset when you don't get a response. Most likely it is because you contacted what I call a "dead" profile....Somebody that posted a profile and then lost interest and never came back to check their email again. There are a LOT of dead profiles on these sites.

Good point. I think we all have to be willing to make the first move, especially on these dating sites. For most of us it's wishful thinking that you join one of these sites, and suddenly have all these members interested in and contacting you.

Me personally I have contacted guys. I'm a little gun shy now after lack of response. That's why my I asked "What are you really looking for"?

Does age make a difference?

You asked, Does age make a difference ? I guess thats up to the individual, but for me, NO,with some exceptions, just like race doesn't either. I won't go out with a woman that still wants kids,so I guess in that way age matters. what means more than anything to me is, a meeting of the heart and mind. One of my best friends has been Married for 22 years to a woman 1/2 his age. It's amazing to see how they interact with such an age difference. She has always been very mature for her age, very grounded and most of all really understands the meaning of Love and committment.

aren't you glad you asked ! LOL
