Fellas  i would love to read your opinion on wether the photos you see are what you meet?

Ladies many of you have requirements like 'no photo no response."  Yet you dont pay a membership fee?

Here is my question?  Ladies if you dont pay but post a photo especially a provacative one why would you expect to get serious inquires?

Here is my question for the guys on this site.  Do you consider profiles without photos and have you found the description of a lady accurate after you met them in person?

Just wpndering and waiting for some thoughtful feedback.

Your inquiry brings up some good points. I am a big girl, and don't usually allow full-length shots of myself to be taken - plus, I'm a photographer and always on the other side of the camera anyway.
However, I state very cleaerly in my profile exactly who and what I am so that there's no confusion. You don't like big girls? Move along...
But I also don't usually look at profiles without photos because attraction to someone's face (at least) is important. I want to know who I'm talking to. And I certainly don't want to end up talking to someone whose mugshot was on last night's news.
At least a face shot is helpful. Without one, it really makes me wonder if the person is being shady by not posting one. Like, maybe they're married???

Thanks for your comment.  Extending the logic of your comment how would you know if the phto posted is what the person really looks like.  Which would be more disingenous to you a photo that is not a legitimate one or no photo at all?

I asked about the photos because I am amazed at the number of women who post photos and dont read a male profile without one.   I dont put much stock in a photo until I meet the person.

The more manufacturered (glamour shots) the less likely the person is real.  I like casual believeable photos.

You posed some good questions. Sometimes the photos posted on dating sites are an accurate depiction of the person who posted them, and sometimes not, since some photos can be quite old, or, even worse, "photo shopped."

Many people tend to take photos in dark foregrounds and backgrounds making for a poor photo; some full-figured women tend to intentionally pose too close to the camera lens, thus, making sure that nothing but a head shot is seen.

Should profiles without photos be considered? Absolutely! If after reading a profile, you are interested in knowing the "face" behind it all, one can always request a photo. With image theft being more common than most people realize, it just makes sense.

Recently, thousands of facebook profile photos were stolen and ended up mysteriously on pornographic web sites, so...go figure.

More than a few people will send a "wink" or an email based mostly on a "good looking" photo; the guys are particulary guilty of this.

On the topic of accurate profile descriptions, well, it is human nature to paint oneself in the best possible light, whether that means stretching the truth about incomes or levels of education, weight, height, and sometimes relationship status. Again, it's basic human nature, but I, personally subscribe to the school of HONESTY.
