yes it is a great day, yet the hard work is just beginning, we must not be fooled in to thinking everything is ok, there is a lot to fix, we must be equal to the task at hand, but i am very happy to have seen this day and as a black man very very proud of what he has done,i just hope and pray that nothing happens to him and maybe just maybe we can become one nation, one people

I LOVED THE FACT THAT "O" TALKED RIGHT AT THE PEOPLE, DIDN'T B.S ABOUT ANYTHING, I WILL GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE, MCCAIN BROUGHT UP HOW MUCH MONEY WE OWE CHINA AND YES THAT IS A PROBLEM, AND HE TALKED HOW WE NEEDED TO HAVE A TOUGHER LINE WITH RUSSIA AND IRAN AND NORTH KOREA, BUT HE SAID NOTHING ON HOW HE WOULD DEAL WITH ANYTHING, AT LEAST "O" GIVE US DETAILS ON WHAT HE WOULD DO, MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS HE DIDN'T DEFEND HIMSELF AS WELL AS HE COULD HAVE EX- WHEN MAC TALKED ABOUT THE OVER 900 MILLION IN EARMARKS, HE NEVER SAID WHERE THE MONEY WENT, BY DOING SO HE COULD HAVE SHUT DOWN THAT LINE OF ATTACK WHICH KEPT COMING AT LIKE 4-5 TIMES DURING THAT POINT OF THE DEBATE, AND HE NEVER SAID THAT "YES IF SOMEONE THREATENS MY ALLY, THEN I WILL TELL NO YOU ARE NOT AND BACK IT UP" (IRAN ATTACKING ISRAEL) ONE THING ANYBODY WANTS TO KNOW IS DO YOU HAVE MY BACK IF SHIT GOES DOWN, SO THINGS LIKE THAT MATTER, BUT IF HE LOOKS AT THE TAPE AND MAKES CORRECTIONS, THEN HE WILL DO A MUCH BETTER JOB

i feel in order to solve the problems in the world, america needs to creat like the french a legion where we could send troops to solve problems, without risking our troops in battle,the difference would be that we would get the troops from the area that is in need and help them deal with anything (air support,ect) but they would do the fighting
ex: in africa you sign up africans who want to fight and provide them with training and material support so that they can help save themselfs and their people. tell me what you think?

this is a question i have asked all my friends, now i know this is a real touchy
subject for some(most) people,but it needs to be addressed, ok here goes.....
everyone should have heard about the sean bell shooting, what i have asked and would like to know is (1)why would you stay at a place till 4 in the morning, when you was going to get married at 10 am the next day??
(2)why didn't you either leave early or have your party at a hotel room instead of a known "bad" spot(drugs and crime)
(3)if the police did id themselves, why did you run or try to run?
while his death is a lost for his family and friends, there are some questions that need to be asked, more importantly some lessions to be learned so that this doesn't happen again
we as african-americans need to ask hard truths of ourselves and not be afraid of the answers.
let me know what your thoughts on this subject is, please no rants just intelligent replys thank you

this question is really about what we as black people should be doing in the 21th century, should we always cry about things we cannot change(PEOPLE AND HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT US)or should we creat a new direction and build toward a new future which understands that there will always be some who hate but we just can't afford to focus on that anymore, we have a nation to build and leave to our children.(by nation i am talking about an economic one which will lift ALL OF US,NOT JUST THE TALENTED TENTH OUT OF THIS WASTELAND)remember without economics, politics is useless

why is it that black men can only want white women once they get famous? i heard this on a radio show and the viewers sounded like jerry springer and maury i think it is pure bull s@#$, why? because i have heard this for years, and it kills me that the same women talking about this would NEVER NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER TALK TO a brother who had a job, paid his bills but worked for U.P.S yet always crying about the other brother only because he makes a few million, i think that black women who got their sh@# together really don't care but the ones looking for a payday are the ones crying, let me know what you think?

when will we ever get to a point of being able to tell the unvarnished truth about ourselves and still find someone who wants to be with us anyway??? everybody wants everybody to always be honest ect.ect. but how many people are really ready to learn the truth about the next person??? and more importantly not let that truth be a deal breaker???? of course there are somethings that are, but i am talking about normal stuff not crazy stuff how many woman/men can really say they can deal with the REAL TRUTH about someone????? tell me your thoughts
