With where we are scientificly, I find it amazing so many people still believe in fantasies. We think it nieve of peoples past who worshiped sun gods or corn gods or whatever and yet gods are still worshiped today. I have been thinking much about this lately and wonder of the intelligence of those who do.

Obama African-American

Just wondering...
Obama's father is black and his mother is white.
Obama is referred to as African-American. Only 1/2 the story.
Looking at the other half couldn't he also be referred to as Caucasian?
Reminds me of the time when you were considered black if you had 1/16 black heritage.
Maybe bi-racial is a better word....and then would we refer to McCain as uni-racial...

This is a male friends POV on women dating younger men. It surprised me that it is thought of in this way.
'Dating younger men will give you a bad reputation dear once your name gets around. It would only fill a void as he is so much younger and he has so many choices of women. I think he would see you as easy prey'.

Blogging Etiquette or What I Learned on My First Blog Experience
1. Never revise a post even if it is within a few minutes. Add a new post if you need to clarify. Seems this is a BIG no-no and everyone will be on your head if you do so.
2. Never delete a post. If you do so, again, everyone will be on your head.
3. If you are provoked to anger do not post at that moment! Wait until you are calm and rational or you may regret it. See 1 & 2.
4. Never respond to crazy people. You may not be aware at first that this person is but you will see it over time - ignore them and they may go away.
5. If someone is making insulting / abusive attacks on you on a daily basis you are NOT allowed to delete their post. Those here feel 'freedom of speech' includes this behavior and it is not up to you to decide your feelings but is in the hands of the higher-ups.

Price of watermelon going up?

'Watermelon may be a natural Viagra as it is richer than experts believed in an amino acid called citrulline, which relaxes and dilates blood vessels much like Viagra and other drugs meant to treat erectile dysfunction.
Until recently scientists thought most of the citrulline was in the watermelon rind. Watermelon has more citrulline in the edible part than previously believed. The amino acid citrulline is converted into the amino acid arginine. This is a precursor for nitric oxide, and the nitric oxide will help in blood vessel dilation.
How much watermelon does it take? Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for that'.
With prices going up on so many food items will watermelon be next?
In the future news...
'I'm here at the local Supershop and as you can see the line is around the building as people wait in line tonight for a suspected shipment of watermelon tomorrow, We don't know at this time if this will be whole watermelon or only the cubed center. We tried to talk to a store spokesman but they did not want to comment at this time'.
'This watermelon patch was decimated last night and police ask that you call if you have any information about those who have taken the watermelon. Whole watermelon on the black market are now selling for $45 or more'.
'A woman was arrested at this house last night. Police had a tip that illegal drugs were being sold here and raided the house last night. Police say no whole watermelon were found but several hundred pounds of watermelon rinds and marijuana were in the house'.
'This watermelon grower is putting up an electric fence after his watermelon patch was burglarized last week. He says he will now spend his nights out here with his shotgun'.
'A teen was shot and killed in this watermelon patch tonight. Police say they suspect the teen was trying to steal a watermelon and the homeowner shot him'.
